Winner of around 9 festival at Whiteacres, with multiple top 3 results. 2 Parkdean masters wins (First person to win it twice). Kamasan final winner, super-league individual winner. Also lots of other miscellaneous team wins along the way.

I’ve been match fishing all my fishing life.  It is the competition and busyness of match fishing that fuels my love for the sport. International fishing and team fishing have formed the routes of my fishing and driven me to improve and achieve some great things at all levels. Ultimately working with a premier brand such as Preston Innovations helps me and them drive forward and continue to provide great equipment and achieve great success.

I've been successfully match fishing for 30 years, the first 10 of that were mostly on rivers and canals and some still waters before moving onto commercials in the late 80s. Since then I've fished commercials exclusively and never looked back!

My Dad got me into fishing when i was around 3 years old and ever since then I've literally been hooked!  From the age of 6 I fished in local junior matches and then from the age of 9 fished in senior club and open matches. I won a large senior open match aged 12 on the river weaver and that’s when things started to happen as regards sponsorship and getting recognised for the England Youth team.

 My first fish was a rudd, aged 11 whilst on holiday in Devon, since then I have been hooked! As a kid I learnt to fish with my Dad, we would fish for all-sorts; Carp, pike, chub, bream. I then really got into match fishing aged 15, when I remember winning the Golden peg at Viaduct fishery! I have been sponsored in some form by Preston for 14 years, ever since I joined the local Preston Innovations Thatchers team, just after I learnt to drive.

Started coarse fishing at the age of 6, initially for pleasure, joined local clubs and won individual point’s league through junior, intermediate and adult level. Early fishing was spent on mainly rivers and still waters, including the Trent, Witham, Welland and Nene. Move up to the open circuit in my early 20’s and fished with teams including Bawtry and Shakespeare Superteam for over 12 years.

My life in angling started out much different to most as none of my family has ever been interested in fishing. It all started during the school holidays when some friends were fishing at a local quarry where I used to walk my dog.

I started fishing at the age of 5, normally a bit of sea fishing on holiday or an hour on the local brook resulting in some nice Chub! My attentions however soon turned to match fishing and at the age of around 9 I started entering local junior matches, winning quite a few!

I began fishing at around 9 years of age, initially I would spend hours on end down the local Staffs & Worcester Canal before gradually moving onto commercials as i got older. I didn’t actually start match fishing until the age of 14 but i quickly progressed as i won the club aggregate in my second year with a few rounds to spare.
